Course: 8,019yds – 18 hole Par 72 parkland style course at base of the Tian Shan mountain range. The site elevation ranges from 1,380m up to 1,516m
This Colin Montgomerie Design golf course is situated close to the largest city in Kazakhstan, Almaty. The site is located 1hr away from the city center and features stunning snowcapped mountain views, year round running mountain fed streams and rolling farmland dotted with apple trees on the southern end of the site. With the added distance due to the elevation of the golf course, the fairways and greens are quite large, with strategically placed bunkers throughout the golf course.
Besides the 18 hole golf course and Clubhouse in Phase I, there are plans for 500 housing lots, ranging in size from 2,000 to 4,000 sq.m. each. Phase II of the project will include a second 18 hole golf course, more housing lots, a 5-start luxury branded hotel, Spa, Wellness Center and additional outdoor activities such as horse riding trails, biking trails and walking trails. For homeowners at the higher southern portion of the site, it will be possible to ski directly to your house off the Ak-Bulak Ski Resort trails in the winter.
The golf course is due to be completed by the end of the 2012 season, with the possibility of 9 holes being open for play by the fall. The golf course will feature T-1 Bentgrass greens, along with PennTrio Bentgrass fairways. Grassing will commence in late April of 2012.
