This seaside site was essentially flat sandy soil, with two large interior wetlands offering the only vegetation of significance.
Using the existing wetlands systems as structure and preserving as much as possible of the site’s existing vegetation, Colin Montgomerie Design created a golf course with excellent variety and balance.
The sandy soil and tall native grasses in the open areas combine to give some holes a true links look, while the tropical vegetation near the wetland areas gives golfers a very different feel.
The plan succeeds in generating a lot of excellent view frontage for the residential and resort development without negatively impacting the golf experience. |
