Construction began in June 2005 on a new 18 hole golf course, hotel and residential development, Rowallan Castle. Located near Kilmarnock, 30 minutes drive south west of Glasgow, the site is set in 600 acres of one of Scotland’s finest country estates, complete with 1000-year-old yew trees, trout streams, two spectacular castles, and stunning views to Ailsa Craig and Arran in the Firth of Clyde.
The golf course will be a Colin Montgomerie signature course, Colin's first course to be built in his homeland, and he will officially open the course and the club in September 2008.
To compliment the course, facilities at Rowallan Castle will include a clubhouse, five star hotel and spa. |
