Last week I was in Thailand for the Royal Trophy. Seve was due to captain the team but as he was not well enough I was asked to take his place. It was an honour to captain the team, we went with a strong team and it was very, very close, eventually winning 8½–7½. All credit to my team for fighting. They all contributed at least a point out there this week, including me and we did great. It's a very important year for European golf and this has been a good start for us.
Now back home in Scotland, hoping to get some practice in before heading off to Abu Dhabi for the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship, though the weather isn’t helping.
