This week I am home in Scotland for the Barclays Scottish Open, a few miles from home. I always enjoy playing Loch Lomond, it’s a superb venue and great course, and the support I receive from the home crowd is second to none. As a Scot these are two huge weeks coming up, the Scottish Open followed by The Open. I need the points, my world raking is as low as it has ever been – my Race To Dubai position equally, so I have to keep persevering in the hope it will come back one day. Last week in France was a positive, I haven’t been hitting fairways, I need to stop the errors, but last week was more like I used to play quite a few birdies, and not too many mistakes which was pleasing.

The Pro-Am at Loch Lomond is today and then tomorrow I’m out at 12.50 playing with Nick Dougherty and Ernie Els. It's a tournament I won in 1999 and I would dearly love to win again.
