COLIN MONTGOMERIE WITHDRAWS FROM THE US OPEN QUALIFIER

European Ryder Cup Captain Colin Montgomerie has withdrawn from the US Open Championship qualifier at Walton Heath on Monday May 25.

Montgomerie said: “The European Open and The Celtic Manor Wales Open are two more huge tournaments on The European Tour and in order to ensure I am fully prepared for them – following the Open de Espana, the BMW Italian Open, The 3 Irish Open and the BMW PGA Championship – unfortunately I have decided to withdraw from the US Open Championship qualifier at Walton Heath on Monday.”
