Hi Colin,Even though Im Welsh and you might have thought I would be rooting for Ian Woosnam to be captain of the Ryder cup team which is being held in Wales in 2010 then you would be mistaken. Woosie has already held that post once and I believe you are the best choice as captain because of your inspiration and drive. So good luck Im sure we are going to get the Ryder cup back with you in charge.cheers Frank

Congratulations on being selected as Captain of the 2010 Ryder Cup
You are in the great position of following probably the least liked captain for years and winning the Ryder Cup back is a greater achievement than defending it - and I do hope you achieve this I have followed your career since watching you as an amateur at the Home Internationals at Harlech in 1986 and even though at times you have come out with a few \"dodgy\" statements you are a great ambassador for Scotland and probably their greatest golfer over the past 30 years - Major winner or not!
You will have the whole of Scotland behind you Good luck and enjoy Dubai this week - I have played both the Emirates and your course over in Dubai - what a place !

Hi Colin
What great news that you have been appointed our Captain for 2010. I have been a marshal at the last three Ryder Cups including Valhalla and I know you will restore the fun and the pride to the European Team. I look forward to a great event in September 2010 at Celtic Manor and hope that you enjoy yourself as much as you obviously did at the Belfry and the K club.
Kindest Regards
Brian Johnston.

Congratulations colin, personally I would have left it till 2012 in medinah because as a long time fan of yours I could think of nothing better than you getting one over on the yanks in there own back yard just like you did when you held the winning putt in 2004. Regarless who better to win back the Ryder Cup than Mr Ryder Cup himself!! Come on Colin bring the ryder cup back to where it belongs!!
