Hi Monty, just looking at the response you have on your website its fair to say most people feel Faldo has got it wrong, oh boy has he got it wrong. There's a part of me that wants them to lose to show how wrong Faldo was but you and your fans are stronger than that. Just show them in 2010 and then how to be a proper captain in 2014. Hope you enjoyed the footy. See you at the Belfry.

Really disappointed with Faldos wildcard picks. No disrespect to the players on the team but I believe that the USA team will now feel 1up without you or Darren present. Was at Gleneagles on Saturday, your 2nd shot to the 3rd was sublime, resulting in a kick in birdie. All the best for the future, Alan MacKechnie

Hi Colin, like everybody else I am very disappointed that you have not made the Ryder Cup Team, but as you've have said you are determined to make the 2010 Team and I for one would love to be there to see you lift the Trophy. Do not give up hope!! all the very best, regards, Andy.

Colin, I am heartbroken that you are not in the Ryder Cup team. Nick Faldo had obviously made up his mind before coming to Scotland. He did not even show you the courtesy of speaking to you personally. Instead he left a message. No excuse for that knowing that he had made up his mind why could he not have called the day before or indeed the week before when he told Ian Poulter he could go to the states. It will not be the same, in fact I find I can't even wish Nick Faldo well.

Dear Colin, just a short note about your non-inclusion in this years Ryder Cup team. I, like many of my other friends and golfing fans around the world and back home in Scotland are extremely miffed regarding your absence at this years event. Having watch the press conference at 6pm last evening and hearing Faldo contradict himself every 2 minutes, it just makes me more upset to think that this so called golfing great has been chosen to captain our side. All he gives a stuff about is himself and that has always been the case sadly. There is only one reason you are missing from the side and that is because you are a threat to his own record in the competition! To say you are not in the best of form maybe true but when it matters, like you have proved time and time again, in the Ryder Cup there is nobody better! As you would agree it has not been your best year.....so what! It happens to every golfer, footballer, whatever sport. But the Ryder Cup is different. Form goes out the window. I could go on and on and on for why, in my opinion and many others that you should be representing Europe in a fortnights time but Team Faldo has already made his decision! Anyway, best of luck for the remainder of the season and look forward to seeing you back at the top next season where you belong. Take care, all the best, Martin.

Hi Colin As an Englishman, I am extremely sad that Nick Faldo has not picked your goodself and Darren Clarke to play in the Ryder Cup. After your fantastic performances of the last few years, I would have thought that you should both be automatic picks. I think that in some strange way, Faldo may well have got a kick out of this. I would love to see you automatically qualify to play in the next Ryder Cup and then beat Faldo's Ryder Cup record. That will show the bugger. Regards Gary Capstick

Colin I feel like cancelling my Sky subscription, I have been looking forward to this years Ryder Cup with growing anticipation until yesterdays press conference. A Ryder Cup team without Monty is unthinkable, so if I am disappointed how must you feel about this crazy selection. Keep your head up and continue doing what you do best, Paul.

Mr Ryder Cup, see you at the Celtic Manor in two years... AS A PLAYER. With Faldo as a captain this year, the European team spirit will disappear. But we we'll win in 2010. We love you, Monty, we love you !

Monty, Bitterly disappointed you did not make the team and your message to the team summarises the quality man you are.

I very much admire your immediate supportive comments to the European team for this year's Ryder Cup, at a time when you must be disappointed at your exclusion. Like many others, I am sure, I look forward to Celtic Manor 2010, where you will return to the team, break Nick Faldo's points record, and be an important part of a victorious European Team. All the best to you. Donny Coutts
