HAPPY BIRTHDAY (to you and David Howell as well) from Munich! Was nice to see you yesterday in Eichenried. Seeing you both in the same flight was fantastic. (Don't be angry about the 11th hole...). Good luck and enjoy your day! Claudia

Hi Colin, I just wanted to thank you directly for the excellent day at Birkdale (with MMC) a few weeks ago. I did not really get the chance as everything was so hectic. You transformed my view of you as well as my view of my putting in the few hours together. The clinic you gave was by far the most interesting I have attended and according to one of my guests (senior guy from RBS who regularly have Nicklaus at their event) you made him look like an insincere egomaniac. You came across as truly sincere and a real professional. I was pleased to see your decent finish in the BMW and it was this which inspired me to send this email. See you at the Open. I will be routing for you. Regards. Kevin (the loud Everton-supporting scouser!)

Hi Colin, I just wanted to say a big thank to you for your fantastic display here in Vernon at the recent Telus World Skins. Although you went away empty handed, without doubt you were the big winner with the fans. Although I had never seen you ‘live’ before, I have followed your career as much as possible. Walking alongside for two days during the pro-am and the skins game was so much fun. As well as being a great golfer Colin, you really are a funny guy. I laughed when you said that you were #2 in the world to Greg Norman…..and then Tiger was born. Then when Greg Norman asked you ‘how much have you won’, your reply ‘I work in the present Greg, not the past’ was pure magic. I only wish that put had gone in! Well Colin, thank you once again for giving me and everyone else such great memories. I hope one day to be able to see you ‘live’ again and you are welcome back to Vernon anytime you want. Take care and all the best for your future in golf and with your new wife. Paul Beaumont

I was at the Telus skins game in June. We were all very impressed with your sportsmanship, manners and demeanor on and off camera. I can attest that the crowd really enjoyed your play and personality. You represented what I believe is best in the world of sports, and continued to set a good example for young people following the games. I am Canadian of course and Mike Weir is a favorite, however you make a good case to switch loyalties. Good on you and best regards for your future. Sincerely Wayne Ikesaka
