Monty, just a short note to wish you all the best in the forthcoming USPGA. I note that this year it is held at Hazeltine - a great omen if I have ever seen it because it was there that the only other British golfer who could come close in my view to your talent and charisma, a certain Mr T Jacklin, won a Major there in 1970! Go get em Colin!

Dear Mr.Montgomerie I have just finished re-reading your book and was really impressed with the read again, I would just like to say good luck as Captain in the Ryder cup, I was at the K-club watching you on the range and on the course and thought youself and the lads on the team were really good to us the fans, thought the black trousers with the pink stripe were a bit much though! I probablly won't be in Wales as I now have young children 3 Girls Sara Lisa & Hannah and I don't think they would let me go but I will be in front of the telly with them cheering on the lads. Best Wishes to you and your Family for the Ryder Cupand the future .

Dear Colin I am sorry to see you missed the cut in the Open. I have followed your career with interest for many years and am a fan. I really wish you could relax a little more out on the course and recognise your own ability because you are one of the worlds greatest golfers.

My friend and I want to send you our best wishes for a great open. We have enjoyed following your career and believe you are the soul of the game! Your true sportsmanship was on full display at the 2008 Doral when an oblivious passerby interrupted your tee shot on the 17th and after a polite glare you hit a beautiful fade in the middle of the fairway. Congratulations on your well deserved Captaincy of the European Ryder Cup Team.

My memory of you is of a gracious and courteous visitor to Santosa Island for a quick few holes of golf a couple of years back. Good character will sustain you. Stick to your guns with Sandy Lyle.

Monty, put the past few days behind you, you have handled it with dignity and professionalism. You STILL have the game to win, go out there and do yourself and the game of golf proud. Good Luck !
