Working on my game

As always the last few weeks have been pretty busy. I played four tournaments in a row, the BMW International Open, where I celebrated my 49th birthday. I then played the Irish Open at Portrush, it was the first time I had been to Northern Ireland, and Portrush was all I expected it to be and more. Unfortunately my golf wasn’t!
Before playing the French Open, we went to Wimbledon on the Monday. It is always a wonderful day at Wimbledon and we were lucky enough to dodge the rain and see Roger Federer play. On to the French Open, the family came with me, and we had a great week staying in the centre of Paris.
The following week it was home to Scotland. On the Monday I was invited to attend the Opening of the Trump Course in Aberdeen, before heading up to Inverness for the Scottish Open. Unfortunately I missed the cut, my golf is certainly not where I want it to be right now, so I need to put some work in.
Last week I was at The Open, unfortunately not playing. I missed out on qualifying at Sunningdale so spent the week with my sponsors HSBC and Rolex. On Sunday how I felt for Adam Scott, I have been in that position and it isn’t a good place to be. Congratulations to Ernie on his second Open Championship, but I do feel desperately sorry for Adam.
Off to the practice ground for me, a few weeks off playing tournament golf and hopefully I can find my game.
Best wishes,
Colin.
