The Montgomerie at Marrakech Golf City |

Colin Montgomerie recently made his first trip to visit what will be the first of two new courses he is working on in Morocco "The Montgomerie at Marrakech Golf City" which began costruction earlier this year.
Upon visiting the site to inspect the construction work Colin commented "I couldn't believe how close to the airport, and the town, the project is - the location is perfect. I've been very impressed with the vision of the Prestigia Group and seeing that vision starting to materialise as the construction of the residential units and the golf course continues is hugely exciting".
Colin's visit coincided with a reception for the exisiting and potential homeowners and members which was also attended by the Moroccan Minister for Sport and included a 'night-golf' tournament at the neighbouring Royal Golf de Marrakech.
The Montgomerie course at Marrakech Golf City comprises of an 18 hole Golf course which winds it way through the 200ha development that also includes 2,500 residential units. The Prestigia Group that is developing the project is part of the Groupe Addoha company which is based in casablanca, Morocco. The golf course is being built by Morrcan based contractors STAM and Valtech who are collaborating on a joint venture for this project.
