GOLF legend, Colin Montgomerie, has teamed up with world renowned Scottish Knitwear producers, Peter Scott, to create an exclusive Colin Montgomerie clothing range.
After months of planning and development, Colin was on-site at the Hawick-based factory on Friday (9th May) to approve the designs, including a collection of knitwear and polo-shirts inspired by the Montgomerie tartan, which will be launched early next year.
Colin, who has worn Peter Scott for several years, says of the collaboration, "I am extremely proud to be working with Peter Scott, who has provided superior quality knitwear to the golfing community for many decades. I could not think of a finer company I would like to undertake this venture with and the range has exceeded my expectations, in both style and quality."
Managing Director of Peter Scott, Ken Pasternak, added "Colin is a very important member of the Peter Scott family and it is privilege to be associated with such a high-profile Scottish personality. To work with a celebrity that is extremely proud to be Scottish, and understand the importance of Peter Scott's Scottish roots, makes the relationship the perfect combination,"
Peter Scott has been an official sponsor of Montgomerie since January 2007 after being approached by his management team, IMG, as requested by Colin himself. The knitwear producer also works with many of the leading sport brands, such as Nike and Adidas, to produce high quality, performance enhancing golf apparel. The company are currently revamping the Peter Scott Brand, in celebration of their 130th anniversary this year, and to help kick the next 130 years off in style. |
